About

me and my cooking

Hi, I’m Amruta

I have been cooking and baking for a long time. But that doesn’t mean that you need a ton of experience to follow my recipes. I try to make food making process as easy as possible. Experienced as well as beginners can follow the recipes effortlessly. There is a Marathi phrase that I like a lot – ‘SUKHACHA GHAS” – it means blissful morsel. I like people around me to have that experience with every bite of the food I prepare.

Cooking is enticement of senses – the sight of the dish, its aroma, the texture and finally the taste. Engage and excite all your senses with every bite. I approach cooking and baking with an emphasis on family and friends and the tastiest ways to eat healthy together!

When not cooking in my kitchen, I like spending time with my family and friends. I explore new places while indulging to my hearts content in my other passion – photography. Trying new restaurants and food-joints while educating myself about the different cultures and ingredients of that place fills me with new ideas. Food has a way to bring people together in a positive way, so relax and smile and let’s cook together.

Food for soul

Tummy to Heart mantra is – “a way to everybody’s heart is through their stomach”. Food eaten with a smile on your face is the best way to eat it and for that along with salt sprinkle your food with a pinch of love.

Flavors

This page is not limited to any one cuisine, here we will follow just our taste buds. But being an Indian from Maharashtra my recipes may lean little towards Indian flavors. Those who are very interested in cooking and baking but are confused about the techniques, DO NOT WORRY. As we go through different recipes, i’ll explain everything in detail, so i’ll be with you at every step of the way.

Old + New

We will explore traditional as well as modern recipes with some old and new twists. Cooking should be fun and satisfying. Enjoy good food and have everything. Everything is healthy even fat if consumed in small quantity.
